Lower Link Hooks for Tractors

Make implement changes faster and easier with lower link hooks for tractor three-point hitch systems. This collection brings together weld-on lower link hooks, Easy Change hook kits, single replacement hooks, repair kits, lower link balls and practical hitch accessories in Cat 1, Cat 2S, Cat 2 and Cat 3.

Because category, hook design and dimensions must match the tractor and implement, the right choice is more important than simply choosing the largest hook. Use the guide below to compare the options in this collection.

Cat 1, Cat 2S, Cat 2 or Cat 3: which lower link hook do I need?

Always match the hook to the three-point hitch category, lower lift arm and implement connection. Cat 1, Cat 2S, Cat 2 and Cat 3 are separate options and should not be treated as interchangeable.

Category Use when Important
Cat 1 Your tractor and implement use a Category 1 lower-link system. Smaller hook and ball format within this range.
Cat 2S Your existing system specifically requires Cat 2S. Cat 2S is a separate hook version; do not automatically substitute Cat 2.
Cat 2 Your tractor, lift arms and implement are Category 2. Check the hook dimensions and product-specific rating before ordering.
Cat 3 Your tractor and implement use a Category 3 system. Larger hook format for the matching Category 3 linkage.

Important: do not identify the category by ball diameter alone. In this range, Cat 2S and Cat 2 products can both use a 56 mm outer-diameter lower link ball. The hook design and the complete three-point system must match. Maximum tractor-power ratings also vary by product, so always use the technical data on the individual product page as the final reference.

What is included in this collection?

  • Weld-on lower link hook sets in Cat 1, Cat 2S, Cat 2 and Cat 3.
  • Easy Change hook kits for mounting without welding on suitable lower lift arms.
  • Single weld-on hooks with Cat 1 / Cat 2S / Cat 2 / Cat 3 variants.

Set of 2 or 1 hook?

Weld-on lower link hooks or Easy Change hooks?

Weld-on lower link hooks

Weld-on hooks are intended for permanent installation on suitable lower lift arms. They are a practical choice when replacing existing hook ends or converting lift arms to a hook system. Correct alignment, dimensions and professional welding are important for safe installation.

Easy Change hook kits

Easy Change kits mount to suitable lift arms without welding. They are useful when you want a removable solution or do not want to modify the lift arms permanently. The lift-arm shape and available straight mounting section must match the product requirements.

How to choose the correct lower link hook

  • Category: Cat 1, Cat 2S, Cat 2 or Cat 3 must match the existing three-point hitch.
  • Mounting method: choose weld-on or Easy Change according to the lower lift arm.
  • Dimensions: compare the product drawing and measurements with the existing hook or lift arm.
  • Product rating: check the maximum tractor-power or application rating stated for that specific product.
  • Ball compatibility: make sure the hook and lower link ball belong to the correct system.
  • Quantity: check whether the listing is for one hook, a pair or a complete kit.

Why use lower link hooks?

  • Faster coupling and uncoupling of three-point implements.
  • Less manual positioning when connecting implements.
  • Useful for replacement, repair or conversion of lower lift arms.
  • Multiple categories and mounting styles in one range.
  • Replacement balls, repair parts and accessories available alongside the hooks.

Lower link hook FAQ

Is Cat 2S the same as Cat 2?

No. In this range Cat 2S and Cat 2 are separate hook versions. Some ball dimensions can overlap, so always select the category specified for the tractor, lower lift arm and hook system.

Are the hooks sold individually or as a pair?

Both options are available. Several products are sets of two hooks, while the multi-category weld-on variant is sold per single hook. Check the product title and set contents before ordering.

Do the hooks include lower link balls?

Many complete hook products include matching balls, but repair kits and accessories have different contents. The individual product page shows exactly what is supplied.

Can I choose a hook based only on tractor horsepower?

No. Tractor power is only one product-specific specification. Category, hook dimensions, lift-arm design and implement connection must also match.

Can I retrofit lower link hooks to my tractor?

Often yes, depending on the lift-arm design and the chosen hook. Weld-on and non-weld Easy Change options are available, but the dimensions and mounting requirements must be checked first.
