Hydraulic Couplings
Connect your tractor’s hydraulics to hoses and implements. Choose hydraulic quick couplings as individual plugs or sockets, complete sets and accessories for fitting and maintenance. Compare the coupling profile, body size and thread before choosing a BSP, NPT, metric or ORFS connection.
Check first: plug and socket describe the two coupling halves. Male and female thread describe the connection at the rear. A female coupling can therefore have a male threaded connection. Matching threads alone do not make two quick couplings compatible.
Which hydraulic quick coupling do you need?
- Individual plug, socket or set: see 1/2" BSP quick couplings and select the required half or matching pair.
- Push-pull socket: compare 1/2" BSP push-pull couplings. Check that the mounting arrangement suits your installation.
- Metric pipe connection: compare metric sockets and metric plugs, with 10L, 12L and 15L variants.
- Replacing several couplings: NPT versions are available in packs of four sets or six sets.
The range also includes replacement couplings for specific tractor applications. Compare the part reference, technical drawing and existing connection. The tractor brand alone does not identify the correct coupling.
Compare sizes, threads and coupling profiles
- Coupling profile and body size: check the specified standard, such as ISO 7241-A, and the size of both halves. A similar appearance or the description “Pioneer style” alone does not guarantee interchangeability.
- Thread and seal: check thread type, size and male or female thread. BSP, NPT and metric connections differ. ORFS uses an O-ring against a flat sealing face; check the specified thread size as well.
- Operation and mounting: select a version that suits your hose, pipe or valve block. Push-pull couplings and retractable-sleeve couplings may require different mounting arrangements.
- Operating conditions: check the selected product’s working pressure, flow rate and fluid compatibility. These values are not the same for every coupling.
Dust caps, mounting brackets and seals
Use suitable dust caps and plugs to protect disconnected couplings from dirt. For fixed mounting, compare quick coupling brackets and their dimensions. For maintenance, see the seal kit for ISO 7241-A BG3 couplings. Match the seal shape and coupling design; the same body size alone does not guarantee that a repair kit fits.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a plug and a socket?
The plug is the inserting half. The socket receives and locks the matching plug. Check the threaded connection to the hose or pipe separately.
Are hydraulic quick couplings universal?
No. The profile, body size, connection and operating requirements must match. For replacements, check the product specifications and part references too.
What is included in a set?
Contents vary by product and selected variant. Check the description for plugs, sockets and dust protection. Brackets and service parts are separate unless stated otherwise.
