Description

This double pilot-operated check valve 1/2″ BSP is a hydraulic locking block for double-acting cylinders. The side connections are 15L for 15 mm hydraulic tube. It allows flow towards the cylinder and blocks return flow until pilot pressure opens the relevant check valve.

Check both connection types: 1/2″ BSP at V1–V2 and 15L (M22 × 1.5) for 15 mm tube at C1–C2. The BSP size and tube size refer to different connections.

How the pilot-operated check valves work

The block contains two pilot-operated check valves. Oil can flow from the supply to the cylinder. Return flow from the cylinder is blocked until pilot pressure opens the relevant check valve. This allows both sides of a double-acting hydraulic cylinder to be locked.

This is a locking function. The valve does not independently control the lowering speed of a load. Check that its operation and connection diagram suit your hydraulic system.

Connections and installation

Connect the supply lines to V1 and V2 and the cylinder lines to C1 and C2, following the hydraulic diagram. Before installation, check connection sizes, available space, system pressure and required oil flow. Depressurise the system and keep lines and connections clean.

The tube connections are intended for 15 mm tube. A hose of a similar diameter cannot be fitted directly into this tube connection without a suitable fitting.
