Description

This hydraulic flow control valve restricts oil flow in both directions. Use the adjustment knob to set the opening and adapt the speed of a hydraulic cylinder or motor to the application. Choose 1/4″, 3/8″ or 1/2″ BSP female threads.

Operation and application

The same throttle opening acts in both flow directions. There is no check valve bypass for free reverse flow. The two directions cannot be adjusted independently. The valve can restrict oil flow in hydraulic circuits on agricultural machinery, mobile equipment and industrial installations.

The setting determines the opening. Actual movement speed also depends on the hydraulic circuit and operating conditions.

Check connection size, system pressure, flow and installation space. Install with the system depressurized, keep connections clean and adjust gradually. This flow control valve does not replace a separate load-holding or hose-burst protection device.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the two versions?

A throttle valve without a check valve restricts flow in both directions. A throttle check valve restricts flow in one direction and allows free reverse flow through a check valve.

Does 50 l/min apply to every size?

No. The drawing specifies 15 l/min for 1/4″, 30 l/min for 3/8″ and 50 l/min for 1/2″. It specifies 400 bar for all three sizes.
