Description

This Cat 1 hydraulic top link with hook replaces the mechanical top link on your tractor. Adjust its length using the tractor hydraulics to change the implement's working angle from the tractor seat. It has a 455–615 mm length range, 160 mm stroke and 50/30 mm cylinder bore/piston rod. Supplied with 2 hoses with quick couplings, 2 banjo bolts and 4 sealing washers.

Mounting holes: Ø19.2 mm; end widths: 44 mm and 44 mm.

What is included?

  • 1 × hydraulic top link with hydraulic locking block
  • 2 × hydraulic hoses with quick couplings
  • 2 × banjo bolts
  • 4 × sealing washers for the banjo connections

The hydraulic locking block is the valve block on top of the cylinder. Check that the quick couplings match your tractor and that the hoses have sufficient clearance throughout movement.

Will this version fit your tractor?

A ball joint is fitted at the cylinder end and a hook at the piston rod end. Check the hook, matching ball and pin together, and make sure the hook is closed and locked before use. A double-acting hydraulic connection is required. The 50/30 designation means a 50 mm cylinder bore and a 30 mm piston rod.

Checks before installation

  1. Compare the required retracted and extended lengths with 455–615 mm.
  2. Check both mounting pins, hole diameters, joint widths and available clearance.
  3. Check double-acting control and tractor quick couplings. G3/8″ is the cylinder port size, not the tractor quick-coupling specification.
  4. Route the hoses without kinks, tension or contact with moving parts.

How do I measure the required top-link length?

Measure from the centre of the ball joint to the centre of the ball seated in the hook, as shown on the metric drawing. Compare the shortest and longest lengths required with 455–615 mm. Do not measure to the outside of the hook. The 44 mm dimension is not the hook opening.

Is the 160 mm stroke the same as the overall length?

No. Stroke is the cylinder's travel. The retracted length is 455 mm and the extended length 615 mm, measured between the indicated mounting points.
