Description

Service the rod-end assembly of a compatible double-acting hydraulic cylinder with replacement hydraulic cylinder gland heads and bushings from Spare Parts Holland. These replacement gland head assemblies are supplied with fitted seals for the selected size.

Which gland head fits your hydraulic cylinder?

Use the size selector above to choose your cylinder's bore and rod combination. Example: 40/25 means 40 mm cylinder bore and 25 mm piston rod diameter.

F is the metric external thread used to fasten the gland head into the cylinder. It is not a hydraulic oil port. Also compare ØA, ØB, ØD and axial dimensions E, L and C with the drawing of your original part.

These dimensions apply to the corresponding Spare Parts Holland (SPH) hydraulic cylinders. They are not universal dimensions for other manufacturers. If repairing a different brand, carefully compare every mounting dimension, internal diameter, sealing arrangement and connection design with the original part and technical drawing before ordering. Matching bore/rod size alone does not guarantee compatibility.

For a hydraulic top link, the category alone does not identify the correct gland head. Check the cylinder design, rod guide, seal profiles and mounting arrangement.

Installation and maintenance

Depressurize the hydraulic system completely before dismantling the cylinder. Examine mating surfaces, seals and the cylinder bore. Follow the original cylinder manufacturer's repair procedure and use suitable installation tools.

Does the head fit any cylinder with the same bore/rod size?

All mounting dimensions, the rod guide, seal profiles and mounting thread must match the original part. Bore/rod size alone does not establish compatibility.
