Description

This double-acting hydraulic hand pump with tank operates a suitable cylinder manually in both directions, without an electric or engine drive. Choose 12 cc, 25 cc or 45 cc, each with a 1, 3 or 5 litre oil reservoir. It is intended for intermittent or emergency operation.

Pump displacement and reservoir capacity are separate choices. Match the cc value to required oil displacement and pressure, and tank capacity to the usable oil volume your installation needs.

A larger cc value provides a greater stated oil displacement, but this series also has a lower maximum working pressure as displacement increases. Check the pressure ratings of the cylinder, hoses and other components before choosing.

Compare the oil required over the full cylinder stroke with usable tank capacity and the specified oil level. Nominal capacity is not automatically fully available to supply the cylinder. Check installation space too.

This pump is intended for manual operation of a double-acting hydraulic cylinder. The directional control determines which cylinder chamber receives oil and allows oil from the other chamber to return. Check the pressure protection required by your complete system.

Oil reservoir and installation

You receive the double-acting hand pump with the selected oil tank and operating lever. Check the relevant drawing for tank shape, fixing points and lever clearance. The lever length in the drawing is 545 mm.

The pump has a cast-iron body, a lapped and chrome-plated steel pump rod and a steel lever with a plastic grip. Allow sufficient clearance for lever movement and connections.

Which pump and tank combination should I choose?

Choose displacement according to oil delivery and pressure requirements. Then select tank capacity according to usable oil volume and installation space. A larger tank does not increase maximum pump pressure.
